Birthday Parties Galore!

One of the most memorable things of my childhood has to be the birthday parties my sister and I had growing up. I don't remember the birthday presents so much as I remember the actual the actual parties and presentation of the party. I do believe my mother gave that to me as a gift-the love of hosting with a special touch. The fruits of her labor were definitely appreciated.

My next project will be to make my own candles and paper straws...or at least make my own candles to MATCH paper straws. I was inspired to make my own because I have the hardest time finding nice candles. One day, I did a search and ended up really liking what was actually PAPER STRAWS (childhood flashback to the Central Park Zoo in NY- awesome idea!)! So my project will be to make these too!!

My Bucket list inspiration

So, I've been up since 4:30am today and as I looked through some pictures online I realized, I want to be there! At that moment, it was a picture of Paris in the winter. Snow and all! That was when I decided that one day, in my lifetime, I will travel to Paris while it's snowing and take it all in. With that, a picture with the snow and the Eiffel Tower in the background.

I was inspired by a picture I saw and cannot seem to find anywhere again. It is not the picture I have posted, but it was very similar.


It was of the Eiffel Tower in the background, probably early evening hours. The picture was taken at an angle and you could see the flash on the camera was on by the way the snow flakes appeared. There was a very happy female with a red coat on the left corner of the picture. She was up close and just from her chest up was all I could remember seeing. It was beautiful and inspired me to be in France during the winter... even if it's just to get a picture!
